Do's
Always report to your manager or Supervisor if you are suffering from:
- Infected skin conditions.
- Throat and ear infections.
- Coughs and colds.
- Any symptoms of food poisoning experienced by yourself or any member of your household.
Food worker must ensure to:
- Taste food with a clean spoon every time.
- Use disposable tissues.
- Keep your hair covered.
- Totally cover wounds or damaged skin with a distinctively coloured waterproof dressing.
Don'ts
- Do not lick your fingers.
- Do not pick or touch your nose.
- Do not touch or comb your hair.
- Do not smoke or spit.
- Do not eat in food processing areas.
- Do not wear jewellery when handling food as it traps food and bacteria. In addition, jewellery may fall of into food or it may get entangled in equipment.
- Do not use nail polish, artificial nails, perfumes or heavy cosmetics as they may taint or contaminate food.
- Do not wear protective clothing outside the food premises or outside clothing in the food premises.
